Could not afford hospital’s prosthetic arms so made his own

‘I survived but I had no hands and I couldn’t afford to buy the false hands the hospital wanted me to have – so I decided to make my own,’ he explained.

‘I control them with movements from my elbows and I can work, love normally and feed myself just like anyone else,’ explained the real life tin man.

‘The only drawback is that steel is quite heavy so they’re tiring to wear and get hot or cold in the extremes of summer and winter,’ added Sun.

Now he plans to develop the design for other similarly disabled people.
‘I made this from scrap metal for virtually nothing. There is no need to pay hospitals a fortune,’ he said.

How To: Make Your iMessages Show Up On All Your Devices

image

You need tomake sure that you’re set to receive them at the same email addresses onall of your Apple devices. That is the first thing. Settings -> Messages -> Receive At. Thenpunch in the email address (or two) that you’d like people to use to iMessage you. Thinkof it like a phone number with an @symbol in the middle.

Now, and this is the trickif you’ve got an iPhone, which sets your phone number as the default caller ID: In the same Message settings, youshould set your Caller ID to the same email address on every single device. That way, no matter which device you use, people are replying to the same address, and it’ll route to all of your devices in sync. It’s super crucial if you’re trying toget an iPhone’s iMessages to always sync up withother devices — you can’t tell your iPad or iPod touch to use your phone number as a caller ID, and iMessage doesn’t seem to always sync stuff sent toyour phone number with your other Apple devices, at least in our experience. So, using the same email address as your caller ID on everydevice, and having all your devices receive iMessages at that address seems to be the most surefire wayto make everything work the way it’s supposed to. But if you’ve got other tips, drop them in the comments.

Celebrate the biggest movie bomb of the year by making your own John Carter Decoder Badge

image

printable decoder badge based on the Thern medallion that transports John Carter to Mars/Barsoom in the movie. At the top of the badge you’ll see the Barsoomian(?) characters used throughout the official John Carter merchandise (such as the soundtrack booklet and activity books) while at the bottom you will see the English equivalent character.

The badge requires a paper fastener to spin.
